Dark, proudly queer, and devilishly entertaining, Agatha All Along brings hope back to the Marvel TV world and a much-needed sprinkling of magic to the broader MCU. It’s the Halloween treat we all need, and it isn’t afraid to throw in a few wicked tricks along the way. Agatha All Along is now streaming in weekly instalments on Disney+.

WandaVision was undoubtedly one of the best Marvel TV outings of recent years, with its creativity, risk, and delicious performances creating a treasure trove of brilliance episode after episode. WandaVision left us begging for more, especially from Kathryn Hahn, as the wickedly sharp, slightly saucy, devilishly brilliant Agatha Harkness. Now Marvel and Disney+ have finally served up dessert, and it’s as delicious as we hoped it would be.

Jac Schaeffer picks up where he left off, with Agatha drained of her powers and trapped in the suburbs, living in an alternate reality. In this strange world of doughnuts, coffee, and murder, Agatha, now Agnes, is a gruff police detective who works 24/7 and lives for each case assigned to her desk. But something feels off in Agnes’ world, and as a new Jane Doe turns up in the woods, an FBI official (Aubrey Plaza) appears, and a mysterious goth kid, played by the brilliant Joe Locke, breaks into her house, the town seems to hold a mystery Agnes can’t quite put her finger on.

Could the spell that has trapped Agatha be diminishing in its power? You bet it is, and the Witch is about to return in a spectacular rebirth event. What ensues is a Wizard of Oz-inspired quest for a Coven and the power the Witches Road could gift as Agatha and ‘Teen’, or ‘Toto’, who also happens to be a super-fan, embark on a dangerous and deadly road trip fraught with challenges, trials and tribulations with a new coven in tow.

So, ease on down the road, and place Agatha All Along at the top of your viewing list this October.
