Star Trek III: The Search for Spock (1984) beams back into cinemas for its 40th Anniversary


To celebrate the 40th anniversary of Star Trek III: The Search for Spock this summer, exclusive poster art has been created by artist Matt Ferguson before it beams back into cinemas on June 14.


How do you follow the success of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan? You blow up the USS Enterprise and murder Kirk’s son, of course! Fans of Spock’s rebirth, Kirk’s trauma and the final explosive journey of the NCC-1701 will be able to enjoy Star Trek III: The Search for Spock in UK cinemas from June 14 and on a new 4K UHD™ + Blu-ray™ SteelBook® on May 27.

To celebrate the re-release, brand-new artwork by Matt Ferguson pays homage to the classic design of the original poster with its look and feel. An artist and designer from Sheffield, Matt Ferguson, has designed original artwork for Star Trek Beyond and iconic franchises from Marvel and Jurassic Park. He has also curated exhibitions in the UK and the USA and is well known for his beautifully stylised creations for established film and TV properties.
