The Celebrity Traitors series two begins on Thursday 1 October 2026 with an extra-long opening episode at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
A new group of celebrities are about to play the ultimate game of detection, trust, and betrayal, hoping to win a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice in the RTS and BAFTA Craft Award-winning The Celebrity Traitors series two on BBC One, iPlayer and BBC Sounds.
Hidden amongst the group are The Traitors, whose job is to secretly murder their fellow players without getting caught. It’s up to the others, the Faithful, to detect the Traitors among them and banish them from the game before they become the next victim.
Lucky players who survive until the end have a chance of winning the money. But if a Traitor remains undetected, they’ll take it all!
Also returning is the official podcast, The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked on BBC One, BBC iPlayer and BBC Sounds hosted by Ed Gamble, who is joined weekly by banished and murdered players and previous celebrity and non-celebrity players. Each episode features exclusive interviews and unseen footage where the Faithful learn the Traitors’ true identities for the very first time. Exclusive bonus episodes will also be available immediately after the main show on BBC Sounds, with extended celebrity interviews and in-depth gameplay analysis.

Speaking about this year’s stellar line-up of contestants, Claudia Winkleman said, “I couldn’t get over it. My bosses had to repeat the names at least three times. We’re so lucky they said yes”.
Reflecting on the missions, actor Bella Ramsey said, “I’m quite sporty, and I’ve done a lot of stunt work on most jobs that I’ve done. I find that side of things really exciting. I love doing physical things, and I love a challenge, especially a physical challenge, so the Missions are one of the things I’m most excited about”. While Richard E Grant was less convinced, adding, “Jerry Hall and I are the geriatrics of the great group. So I’m rather hoping there will be some leeway about whether we’re expected to bungee jump off the castle’s wall.”
Meanwhile, actor and musician Sebastian Croft was contemplating whether a traitor’s robe might fit: “Getting to go in the turret would be the coolest thing ever. That said, I think I’d have a lot of fun being a Faithful. I think the big part of this game is just accepting that I have no control over these things, but then also planning for every outcome. I think the best course of action, the dream scenario for me, is to be a Faithful and then get recruited. It means that, for the beginning part of the game, you can have genuine conviction in your Faithfulness.”
