180 Studios has announced a new exhibition, VISIONS OF 2034, from GENER8ION, the collaborative project of film director Romain Gavras and producer Surkin, opening this summer from 12 June to 31 July 2026.
The exhibition, which features the premieres of seven new and previously unseen short films, coincides with the launch of GENER8ION’s brand-new album, ‘Love & Tears’, released on 12 June.
Turning 180 Studios’ spaces into a vast, evolving audiovisual playground, where machines and bodies, storytelling and sensation collide, VISIONS OF 2034 also premieres a new immersive installation, alongside unseen footage and alternative scenes from Gener8ion visuals past and present.
Shaped by the superstar multidisciplinary duo of influential filmmaker and director Romain Gavras and cult French producer, DJ, and composer Surkin, GENER8ION is an epicentre for music, cinema, choreography, and physical exhibition spaces to coexist.
Continuing to build out their cinematic and immersive world of audiovisual art, in VISIONS of 2034, they have recruited musical artists Yung Lean, 070 Shake and Yannis Philippakis from Foals, as well as Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron, acclaimed choreographer and dancer Damien Jalet, and hundreds of skittish, charismatic characters, in a living laboratory of grippingly unique art and collaborative edge.
In a series of works in which music and image constantly feed into each other, a fragmented narrative set in the near future, 2034, plays out, exploring how codes can be disrupted and reinvented through love, emotion, and dance.
The seven films on show are:
STORM I & II: LEEDS, 2034
LOVE & TEARS: MUMBAI, INDIA 2034
GOD HATES SPACE: INDEPENDENT STATE OF IDAHO, 2034
NEO SURF: ATHENS, 2034
GOSH: HANGZHOU, 2034
BORN FREE: LOS ANGELES, 2034
