Jeff Goldblum presenting, CMAT performing, and Freddie Meredith joining the cast! Saturday Night Live (SNL UK) is already looking sharp as it prepares to return to our screens on Sky.
On September 12, Saturday Night Live UK (SNL UK) returns for its highly anticipated second series, and who better to present it than Academy Award‑nominated actor and global icon Jeff Goldblum. Jeff will take to the stage as the first host of the new series, and will be joined by acclaimed Irish singer‑songwriter and Brit Award nominee CMAT.
Plus, fresh off his Edinburgh Fringe debut and his Best Newcomer Award-nominated comedy show Need a Light?, Freddie Meredith joins the returning SNL UK ensemble: Hammed Animashaun, Ayoade Bamgboye, Larry Dean, Celeste Dring, George Fouracres, Ania Magliano, Annabel Marlow, Al Nash, Jack Shep, Emma Sidi and Paddy Young. Freddie lists his comedy heroes as Jamie Demetriou, Tim Key, Tina Fey, Nathan Fielder, Kristen Wiig, Steve Coogan, Steve Carell and Julia Davis, and when asked why he wanted to join the SNL UK cast, he replied, “It’s a no-brainer; it’s the most iconic comedy show, and it looks like so much fun. It will undoubtedly inform everything I do for the rest of my career, and I can’t wait for the experience. It’s SNL!!!”
The new series of SNL UK launches September 12 on Sky and NOW TV.
