race across the world sixth series bbc one and iplayer

On your marks, get set, go! – Race Across the World is back for its sixth series on BBC One

Much-loved, BAFTA-winning series Race Across the World returns to BBC One and iPlayer for a sixth series on Thursday 2 April.

In a race without smartphones or bank cards, and only the cash equivalent of flying the route, the race will test the five teams both physically and emotionally, pushing them to their absolute limits. Only one team can emerge victorious as they battle to be the first to reach the finish line and claim the £20,000 prize.

In the toughest journey yet, five intrepid teams will travel more than 12,000km across Europe and Asia – their route carving through multiple distinctive countries, including Italy, Greece, Türkiye, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, and finishing on the shores of Lake Khövsgöl in northern Mongolia.

The teams include: best friends Jo and Kush; siblings Katie and Harrison; father and daughter Molly and Andrew; cousins Puja and Roshni; and in-laws Mark and Margo.

Studio Lambert produces Race Across the World for BBC One and BBC iPlayer. The series was commissioned by Catherine Catton, Head of Commissioning, Factual Entertainment and Events, and the BBC Commissioning Editor is Jasmyn McGuile. Tim Harcourt, Louise Bartmann, Katrina Hession and Rob Fisher are the Executive Producers for Studio Lambert. Kezia Walker is Deputy Head of Production, and Maria Kennedy is Production Executive for Studio Lambert.

Find out more about each team taking part in the sixth series of Race Across the World, soon on Cinerama.
