Get ready to check back in! The Fortune Hotel opens its doors for a second series on ITV1 and ITVX starting August 6th.

Hosted once again by the inimitable Stephen Mangan, the eight-part series will see a new bunch of holidaymakers packing their bags and donning their game faces as they head to a Caribbean paradise with their sights firmly set on the ultimate prize: a briefcase filled with £250,000.

This series promises an array of all-new, vital challenges, never-before-seen twists, high-stakes deception, and, of course, plenty more helpings of intense case-swapping drama in The Night Cap. And, for the first time, fans can delve even deeper into the drama with the brand new accompanying vodcast, ‘Late Check Out’, hosted by comedian Ellie Taylor.

The returning series promises to combine all the most loved aspects of the format, complete with new vital Day Trip challenges filled with devious surprises, updated Room Service games that now take place around the hotel and sneaky surprises that will make keeping hold of that coveted case containing the £250,000 even harder. The holidaymakers will need to outwit their competition and avoid an early checkout to be the last ones standing with the life-changing sum of money.

Speaking ahead of the ITV premiere, Stephen Mangan said, “Well, it’s brilliant getting a second series, because you can really lean into the stuff that people at home loved in the first series. And there’s more of that- more great challenges, more twists and turns, more drama. But also, a second series means that all the contestants have already seen the show. It was a brand-new show for the first series; no one had seen it, and no one knew what to expect. Now they’ve all come with a game plan, so our job is to keep throwing them curveballs, so they can never relax and they never know what’s coming”.

Father and son contestants, Atholl and John from the Scottish Borders, added, “An alliance will only get you so far; eventually, someone is going to betray someone. We’re all there for one reason, and the reason is to win the money. There’s only got to be one winner! So ultimately everyone is in competition, but if there are people you can work with to get you further along, then that’s no bad thing!”

Adding to the excitement, the brand-new companion vodcast, also produced by Tuesday’s Child ‘Late Check Out’, hosted by Ellie Taylor, will follow every episode of the main show on ITVX and as a podcast. Viewers and listeners will be taken on a deep dive into all things Fortune Hotel, with behind-the-scenes gossip, exclusive clips, and interviews with the hotel’s freshly checked-out pairs and special guests along the way. ‘Late Check Out’ will also feature exclusive scenes with Stephen Mangan as he reacts to the dramatic Night Caps, plus two special episodes that feature outtakes. Additionally, the vodcast will also showcase ‘The Golden Case reveal’, where eliminated pairs discover who was holding the money, with plenty of shocks and revelations.

The Fortune Hotel opens its doors and welcomes new guests on ITV1 on Wednesday, 6th August at 9pm.
