Dannii welcomes three new boys to the I Kissed A Boy Masseria

Spring has sprung, and Dannii Minogue is back playing cupid in the party you don’t want to miss! It’s loud, it’s proud… and it all starts with a kiss. I Kissed A Boy (series two) is now showing on BBC Three and iPlayer.

As the boys start to settle into their Italian summer of love and things heat up in the Italian countryside, Dannii throws them an epic ‘Icons Party’. But a surprise appearance from Dannii at the end of episode three turns the party on its head. Life in the Masseria is set to change forever with the arrival of three new single boys. Say hello to Justin, Hugh and Baraka!

Justin is 26 years old and hails from Sydney, Australia, but now lives in London, where he works in luxury property development sales. Joining the I Kissed A Boy party, Justin said, “You can expect to see from me, unfiltered everything, from my facial expressions to my words, I really don’t hold back. Coming into the experience later came with its own challenges, but I think I made my presence known fairly quickly. You will catch me overthinking everything and having the occasional meltdown.”

Hugh is 25 years old, hails from Cork, Ireland, and now lives in East London. He is a self-confessed social butterfly and you can find him on the weekend partying at any queer event or club. He loves socialising, meeting new people and immersing himself in queer spaces and communities. Upon entering the Masseria, Hugh said, “You can expect some hard truths from me, dry humour and a chill voice of reason. I’m not one to make it all about me, but if someone crosses me, I’ll serve up their just desserts.”

Baraka is 24 years old and comes from Berkshire and now lives in London after recently leaving the family home. Working as a Business Development Rep, Baraka came out when he was 20 and is still at the beginning of his journey of stepping into his full queer self. He’s never had a proper boyfriend but is open-minded when it comes to type, although he is partial to a pretty boy. On joining the boys in the Italian countryside, Baraka said, “I am so proud of being part of IKAB. Specifically, being able to speak and navigate life as a gay, African man. The show highlights the importance of community beyond romantic relationships and nightlife.”

Justin, Hugh and Baraka join the boys already announced, as our queer summer of love continues on BBC Three and iPlayer. Dannii Minogue said, “Our show is a celebration of love for the LGBTQIA+ community. I think it is a great example of how people can blossom when they feel safe and supported”. Layton Williams added, “I think it gives boys from all over the UK and beyond hope. That they, too, will hopefully find love. We grow up with a jaded view of the world before we eventually ‘come out’! So, to see a masseria full of out and proud boys is inspiring”.
