Now, don’t get excited. Don’t lose your head! London hosts the scrumdiddlyumptious premiere of Wonka

READ MORE: WONKA REVIEW

London’s Royal Festival Hall was transformed into a decadent playground of delicious sweet delights last night as the stars came out for the world premiere of Paul King’s Wonka. Among the guests on London’s Southbank were Timothée Chalamet, Hugh Grant, Olivia Colman, Keegan-Michael Key, Sally Hawkins, Rowan Atkinson and newcomer Calah Lane. Wonka is a magical, musical prequel to Roald Dahl’s immortal and timeless Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and a love letter to the 1971 film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Wonka tells the wondrous story of how the world’s greatest inventor, magician and chocolate maker became the beloved Willy Wonka we know today, as the young Willy Wonka (Chalamet) proves that the best things in life begin with a dream.

Watch a selection of the red carpet interviews here, and book tickets now for Wonka, which arrives in UK cinemas on December 8 and US cinemas on December 15. Our review of Wonka is live from December 7.
