Sheffield Doc Fest: The countdown begins to coverage

For the past two years Cinerama Film has proudly worked with both BFI London Film Festival and BFI Flare. Bringing our readers the very best in new films and LGBTQ+ content from around the world. This year we are delighted to announce that we are partnering with Sheffield Doc Fest for the first time. Bringing you reviews and features on the finest new global documentaries.

Cinerama Film was built from a deep seated passion for sharing the amazing diversity of filmmaking and storytelling across our world. With Sheffield Doc Fest only further enabling that diversity to grow across our site. Including coverage of many UK and world premieres ranging from Welcome to Chechnya which explores the human rights abuses suffered by an LGBTQ community under siege; US Kids which follows the young survivors of the US Parkland’s school shooting and their fight for gun control. Through to Gracefully which offers a tender portrait of a gender, dance and age in Iran. However, these films are just the tip of the iceberg, with so much more in store as we shine a light on diversity, challenge, hopes and dreams across our world.

Our coverage of Sheffield Doc Fest will begin on the 1st July and continuing through to the end of August. With all reviews and features available via our Film Festivals page and home page. With features also appearing via our News feed and social media channels.

The Sheffield Doc/Fest Film programme offers audiences a place for inspiration, debate, growth and challenge. Bringing the very best of World, International, European and UK premieres to new audiences. Last year the festival screened over 180+ films of all lengths – with a programme encompassing work from 40 countries around the world. This year the festival has embraced new technology in ensuring it continues to engage and inspire, with a virtual festival.
